Red, green, and clear lights are required when away from the dock between sunset and sunrise and periods of restricted visibility. This particular navigation light is a White masthead light.
They would be located at the bow of a boat with 225-degree visibility. It was made in Japan by Nippon Sento Co. This double-stacked light is made of brass and copper.
It measures 17.5 inches tall by 11 inches wide (including the metal sticking out of the sides). The base measures 9 inches by 9.5 inches including the mount leg, it has 1 mount hole. The clear Fresnel lenses are in good condition, with minor chips and scratches. Each Fresnel lens is 5.5 inches high. This double light weighs 11.4 pounds. We have re-wired this light with new UL-Listed wiring, including a ground wire, and two new bulb holders. The new sockets are rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts.
The bulb holders use a medium base bulb of 75 watts or less. To access the interior, on the top or bottom, loosens the screws and slide the lid off to the side. And see some of the projects we are working on!
