Vintage Mid-Century Ornate Glass with Brass/Bronze Base Double Lighted Lamp
For sale is a vintage Mid-Century lamp. It has a large round opaque-clear with frosted glass globe sitting on a footed metal base. The metal looks like white brass to me but it could be bronze, either way, it is very ornate and quite lovely.
This same metal is the post that holds the light bulb. It is scalloped and for some reason makes me think of a clam. The lamp is double lighted. My mother has one of these.
It makes a wonderful nightlight without being to bright. It works by turning the switch once each time and it will light up just the lamp bulb, just the nightlight bulb, and both of them lit together.I tested this lamp and it works wonderfully. Just please be aware that it has the original vintage older style American electric plug.
Also, for overseas shoppers, it has an American plug, not sure about converting. It has the original barrel shaped shade with theater curtain style fabric. The lamp is in very good condition but the shade is distressed. Photos are a big part of the overall description. Please view all photos as part of the condition description.
