Pair of Antique French Double Doors. Salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. Both doors are made of either Douglas fir or pine. And are stained on both sides. Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided windows with old glass. The door is not equipped with any hardware. Strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have.
Will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". All of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches. We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with panels etc. And we'll give you a quote.
