Pair of Antique French Victorian Double Doors. Salvaged from an old home in Brooklyn, NY.
Both doors are made of solid Poplar. And are stripped on both sides. Neither door comes equipped with hardware. The width of both doors were unevenly cut by 1/4. And the height of Door#1 by 1/2.
The cuts were most likely to accommodate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, build it up to be taller/wider, or even trim it to be narrower/shorter. Message us for a quote.
Strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues.
Door#2 has a break on the strike-plate mortise (see 9th photo). Most of the blemishes that they have. Will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with panels etc.
And we'll give you a quote. Door w/keyhole : 30 1/4 " - 30 1/4 " x 101" - 101 1/2 " x 1 7/8. 29 1/4 " - 29 1/2 " x 101" x 1 7/8 ". Too tall, short, wide or narrow?
